Dr. Matthew Wiener

Dr. Wiener brings over 35 years of Clinical Research experience to the Harbor team.  Dr. Wiener is a clinical research pharmacist and has served on the faculties of Columbia College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, the University of Colorado, and National Jewish Center for Immunology and Respiratory Medicine, and has held the directorship of a private practice research center.  He has diverse experience in the design and supervision of clinical research studies.  Over 35 years of clinical research experience and his novel recruitment and clinical trials management strategies make Dr. Wiener a leader in his field.  He started his career in the Oncology space which lead him to founding Pharmatech an oncology based CRO.  Over the years he lead his company to a digital transformation by adding site management and layered in technology to create a concept of just-in-time clinical trials.  His company reduced the time to start a trial, which allowed for the identification of patients and enrolling subjects within a two-week period and became an industry leader in this space.  In 2019 Dr. Wiener’s company was acquired by Caris Lifesciences where he has continued to lead the clinical research team.  Dr. Wiener has published extensively and has delivered numerous scientific lectures in the areas of clinical product development and on conducting research in the Managed Care setting.  He serves as a liaison to the professional community, designs scientific protocols, acts as consultant on clinical issues related to projects, collaborates on biomedical statistics, and prepares scientific papers, professional publications, and educational presentations. Dr. Wiener received his doctorate in pharmacy from Columbia College of Pharmacy and his Bachelors of Science in pharmacy from the Brooklyn College of Pharmacy.
